Stay curious - try Alpha

Curious about faith? Alpha is a series that explores the basics of the Christian faith in a welcoming, open and friendly environment. It's free and there’s no pressure or follow-up. Each session you'll be hosted in a group where you'll hear different topics on Christianity and have time to chat through any thoughts. You can say anything you like or nothing at all. Everyone's welcome.
No matter your background or beliefs, you're invited.

Where do you go with your questions?

For many people it's a friend or family member. For others it's Google or social media or perhaps at the pub. For Christians there is the added option of the Church, other Christians, and the top one, God.

Many of us are asking big questions at the moment in the midst of climate change, or the worrying escalation in military activity throughout the world, or uncertainty about the future, or simply the question "How can I make sense of it all?"

Some people have questions but don't know whom to ask. Many are afraid to ask in case their question is thought to be silly, or irrelevant, or unimportant.

Starting on 20 September St Monans Church will be running an Alpha course at St Monans Bowling Club. It's designed to allow people to ask questions and to create a space where people will listen, and provide ways to deal with their questions.

  • We’ll explore a variety of Christian themes:

  • Who is Jesus?

  • What is Prayer?

  • Can I trust the Bible?

  • What is Faith?

  • What about the Church?

During the weekly meetings, no assumptions will be made, nor any expectations placed on those who attend.  We encourage you to come and explore "The Meaning of Life". Maybe you could come with a friend or family member. We'd love to see you there.

Please sign up to let us know you are coming.
